Christmas is just around the corner and I thought it would probably be a good idea (being a fashion blogger and all) to start bringing you some Christmas related content, particularly related to Christmas and all the different parties and festivities we go to around this time of year.

One of the most obvious Christmas engagements you’ll get invited to is of course, the dreaded (for most) or highly anticipated (for I presume only a small number) — WORK CHRISTMAS PARTY!

It’s pretty rare that you don’t have to go to some kind of Christmas party. You might not be working yourself but your partner probably is. Maybe you’re self employed (definitely still have a party of some kind to mark the occasion and celebrate the year) and you can avoid the conundrum of what to wear - good for you!

I didn’t buy this jumpsuit from Little Party Dress with a Christmas Party specifically in mind - just loved the print and thought it would be a fun summer addition. Definitely considered it for a Christmas Day outfit (how perfect would that be - so summery but also an elastic waste so it’ll move with you after Christmas lunch) but when it arrived it clicked - this would be perfect for my Christmas Party.

Of course, a classic Little Black Dress is usually a good option but if you’re looking for something a little more fun and festive - you need this guy!

My work does more relaxed and casual Christmas parties. This year partners and family are invited and we are playing putt putt gold followed by a nice sit-down dinner together. I needed something still nice and dressy but that I could also play mini gold in. Enter a jumpsuit and this festive one at that! I can easily move in it and look glamorous at the same time!

While the heels are too formal for my Christmas party, I thought I would show you how this jumpsuit could work in a more formal setting too. Add some glam accessories and a small black bag and you’re good to go! I love these beautiful green shoes (limited edition Witchery design - with a beautiful gold heel makes them so festive) but any pair of black heels would work amazingly. You know why? Because of the black base of the jumpsuit.

The tan accessories are more appropriate for my party and would work well for Christmas Day or for any activity during the summer season really. They have the jumpsuit in another print too but any jumpsuit with a relaxed style but a darker colour (to keep it edging on the formal end) would work too!

Happy Christmas Party-ing!
