What I wore in Canberra

What I wore in Canberra

I had a week off recently which was absolutely amazing (could have gone for a second to be perfectly frank). I spent a considerable amount of time thinking about what I'll pack on holidays because while I want to be comfortable and not go over my baggage limit - I also want to look nice!

I honestly think they are all achievable! I try and make as many of my outfits work with a small number of shoes and try and make sure all my tops go with just two pairs of jeans and so on and so forth. My pro tip is to have a different scarf for basically everyday as you don't want to be packing a different coat for every day but that only works in cold weather.

That brings me to my other tip - check the weather forecast. I always, always, always check the weather before I travel and keep checking it right up until I leave (so much can change) to really understand what climate I'm packing for. Of course you need at least one option that's suitable for either extreme but mostly this guides my packing choices. Canberra has been a little warmer than it usually is at this time of year so I had to prepare for mostly nice temps and then the possibility things could go sideways (aka freezing) at any moment. I'm so glad I checked otherwise I would have been way too warm in all my winter gear which I am just dying to wear.

So, without further ado.. here's a few quick snaps of what I wore on different days on my week long trip to Canberra.

DAY 1 - Travel Day

I'm wearing layers and boots to ensure I can transition from Brisbane weather to Canberra weather but also wear my heaviest item (my boots) on board!
